Founded in 1912 by Christian Kreussler, the Kreussler & Co. GmbH chemical factory now encompasses the Kreussler Pharma and Kreussler Textile Care divisions. As a medium-sized family business in its fourth generation, our focus is on scientifically grounded innovation, top quality and sustainable practices.
Whether in oral health, phlebology, proctology or professional textile care – our products are valued worldwide and stand for efficiency, user-friendliness and responsibility. Through our own research and in-depth studies, we maintain our position as an independent pioneer in both industries and develop solutions that benefit people and the environment alike; some of which we outline in the milestones section.

What started as a chemical company has developed steadily over the decades – through innovation, new products and continuous research and development, we have been shaping our areas of expertise since 1912. This core mindset underpins our vision and will pave the way to many exciting milestones in the future.
1935
Heinrich Kreussler is the second generation to join the company and is appointed managing director in 1939.
1948
We create the pharmaceutical division and bring the first products to market: CIONAL® and DYNEXAN MUNDGEL®.
1962
The CLIP detergent boosters have established themselves as a reference standard in professional textile care for dry cleaners for many decades.
2000
As one of the first active ingredient manufacturers in Germany, we receive GMP certification for the production of POLIDOCANOL, the active ingredient in our sclerosing agent AETHOXYSKLEROL®. In 2001, we undergo our first successful inspection by the US FDA.
2008
Launch of DERVAL POWER, known as 'the liquid powder'.
Publication of the ESAF study marks the first GCP-compliant clinical study on ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy (UGFS) for large vessels.
2009
AETHOXYSKLEROL® is approved as the world's first sclerosing agent for foam sclerotherapy.
Dr Helmut Eigen is appointed co-managing director and takes over the management of Kreussler Textile Care as successor to Kaspar Hasenclever, who retires after 41 years at Kreussler.
2010
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) grants approval for ASCLERA™ (the US name for AETHOXYSKLEROL®) – the first sclerosing agent in the US with the active ingredient polidocanol (New Chemical Entity).
Introduction of the patented SYSTEMK4, a revolutionary solvent system for textile cleaning. The solvent used offers better results than perchloroethylene and is neither a hazardous material nor a hazardous substance.
2012
We celebrate our 100th company anniversary.
2016
We mark 50 years of clinical experience with AETHOXYSKLEROL®.
2017
Introduction of Lanadol X-PRESS, for wet cleaning without brushing.
2018
The Kreussler International School of Sclerotherapy (KISS) is founded.
2019
We move into the new high-bay warehouse building with office and meeting rooms.
The EASY T dosing technology for car washes is successfully launched on the market.
